Accessory Dwelling Unit Program

If you missed SF Apartment Association’s ADU Program Fair in June here is an overview. The program allows for the creation of new apartment units in low-impact locations within existing buildings. This is a unique opportunity for building owners to construct new, additional units in their buildings.  SFAA Website  The San Francisco Apartment Association is a non-profit, member support organization dedicated to educating, advocating for, and supporting the Rental Housing Community so that its members operate ethically, fairly, and profitably.

Twin Peaks Tunnel Construction Delayed

Project: Twin Peaks Tunnel Improvements

Construction for the Twin Peaks Tunnel Improvement Project has been put on hold due to contract termination. No construction will begin this year. Staging areas established near West Portal and Castro Stations will be cleared out shortly. More information about the restart of the project will be released when it become available.

Two additional projects were scheduled to be completed concurrently with the Twin Peaks Tunnel shutdowns. The M Ocean View improvements at 19th Avenue/Junipero Serra Boulevard and the Rossmoor Drive right-of-way are anticipated to be rescheduled for fall 2017. The Traffic and Pedestrian Safety Fall Report

Many thanks for the efforts of Mike Nerney and Bob Pressley and Supervisor Norman Yee on the several improvements towards making West Portal more safe! Dorchester Median Project Kick-Off!

Congratulations to Caroline Johnston on her efforts in getting this beautification project going. From September to December of this year, the San Francisco Department of Public Works will stabilize and landscape the Dorchester Way median strip between Ulloa Street and Portola Drive. The San Francisco Public Utilities Commission has set aside $60,000 to fund the construction, installation and maintenance of the beautification project. Caroline is hosting a meeting at her home to gather Community input and participation in the project. The meeting on Monday, August 22, at 7:00 pm will be held at 106 Dorchester Way to discuss the plans, and to provide input into the design and materials.
