Sensible D7 is hosting one of the first public forums for candidates running for District 7 Supervisor in November on Thursday April 11th at the Miraloma Clubhouse at 350 O’Shaughnessy Blvd at 6:30pm.
Did you know that your District 7 Supervisor and how they vote can have an impact on issues such as: crime, policing and public safety; traffic and transportation; the cost of living; schools; homelessness and public encampments; the tragedy of untreated mental illness and drug addiction; the cost and availability of housing; proposed zoning changes; the efficiency of City government; and others? Are these important to you? Are there others?
This November, just a few months away, the seat for YOUR District 7 representative on the Board of Supervisors is up for election. Four of your neighborhood organizations are co-sponsoring a candidates forum, AND YOU ARE INVITED! This is an opportunity for you to hear from those individuals who want to represent you – it is YOUR chance to see what they stand for, and importantly, to let them know what is important to YOU.
So mark your calendar and save the date: Thursday, April 11, 7 pm, at the Miraloma Clubhouse – meet your neighbors, enjoy some refreshments and hear from and meet D7 Supervisor candidates at the Supervisor Candidates’ Forum.
When: Tuesday, February 13th @ 7:00pm-8:30pm Where: Miraloma Improvement Club Clubhouse (350 O’Shaughnessy Blvd)
Join your neighbors for a conversation surrounding changes proposed for our single family neighborhoods.
Let’s foster open dialogue and community engagement, so join us for a Town Hall Meeting to discuss proposed zoning changes that may significantly impact housing in our community. Come here experts in the field discuss their perspectives.
Speakers Include:
Dennis Richard; SF representative of Our Neighborhood Voices, former Planning Commissioner
As we kick off 2024, we remain dedicated to our mission of delivering educational and charitable programs to benefit the West Portal area of San Francisco. That means sharing news with you on things that are happening in (or could affect) our neighborhood, being a place where you can share your thoughts and opinions on how to make West Portal a better place to live, work and shop – and coordinating volunteer activities that provide a way to meet your neighbors and get involved.
We’re working on guest speakers to help inform us on upcoming election ballot measures (the March 5th Election is closer than you think). If you have suggestions for other speakers, or you’ve noticed something in the neighborhood that needs our attention, please let our President Karen Tarantola know. She’s easy to reach at president@gwpna.org, or you can contact all of our officers at once at gwpna-officers@googlegroups.com.
