All essential workers can get tested regardless of symptoms. For anyone else, you must have at least one of the COVID-19 symptoms, such as fever or cough, or had recent contact with someone with COVID-19.

Shelter-In-Place Recommendations for
Corona Virus (COVID-19)

IMPORTANT: If you currently have a cough, fever or shortness of breath, call your medical provider. Remain isolated except to get medical care.

Hygiene

  • Wash your hands frequently.
  • Avoid touching your face.
  • Avoid close contact with the sick.
  • Put safe distance between yourself and others; “social distancing.”
  • Cover your mouth when coughing or sneezing.
  • Wear a facemask if you are sick. Clean and disinfect frequently touched surfaces daily.

Food/Rx

  • Have enough household items, groceries and medications on hand so that you will be prepared to stay at home for a period of time.
  • Shop during off-peak hours to avoid crowds.
  • If possible, you or someone you trust can shop online.

Connection

  • Family, establish daily check-ins.
  • Neighbors, keep good connection about your health and needs. 
  • Civic/Social Networks, maintain your visibility and communicate your emerging needs.

  • Sign up for text-based alerts

  • Monitor news outlets such as radio, television and newspaper.
    Visit CDC.gov and SFDPH.org
  • 911 for Police, Fire, Medical Emergencies
    Call if there is danger to life, property or the environment.

We’ll get an update on the City’s response to COVID-19 and what we can do.

SHORT NOTICE: Presentation by Author Mary Thompson

Join author Mary Reynolds Thompson for Dinner and a Talk and Slideshow this Thursday, February 15th from 6:00pm to 9:00pm at Grace Lutheran Church located at 3201 Ulloa St. at 33rd Avenue. The topic will be the wildlife of Marin County as experienced through the lens of photographer and ex-convict, Don Moseman, and the words of Mary Reynolds Thompson. Mary will also share their inspiring stories of recovery, grounded in connection to the natural world.

Mary Reynolds Thompson is an award-winning author and eco-coach who teaches and speaks around the world on how nature holds the key to our wilder, wiser, and most creative selves.  She is an instructor for TreeSisters, an environmental non-profit, and is core faculty for the Therapeutic Writing Institute. Her books are Embrace Your Inner Wild52 Reflections for an Eco-Centric World and Reclaiming the Wild Soul: How Earth’s Landscapes Return Us to Wholeness.

We hope you will join us for Mary’s introduction to the wild nature of Marin, and at the same time enjoy our chef Ron’s special grilled salmon dinner.

  • Schedule: Social hour 6:00 pm, dinner 7:00 pm, program starts at 8:00 pm.
